During this time of the COVID-19 epidemic… We are missing all of our great customers, our regulars and all the people we see passing us at the shop on a daily basis.
For that exact reason, we thought we would share our dough recipe with all of you to make at home yourselves.
Please let us know how your experience with the recipe goes, take pictures and share with us!
- 1kg ‘00’ Flour (Farina – Justflour).
- 20g salt
- 15g sugar
- 10g instant yeast
- 500ml tepid water
- 50ml olive oil
Add all your dry ingredients in one bowl and stir together. Add your wet ingredients into the centre of the mixture and work the dough till you have a ball you can work with.
Preheat your over to between 230°C-260°C. For an extra crispy base, preheat a pizza stone/tray in the oven beforehand.
Knead for 10-15 minutes until smooth and elastic. Adding flour as/if needed.
Leave to rest for at least an hour covered with a damp cloth or plastic.
Separate your dough into individual balls (usually 200g-240g), roll out your base. You can do this by hand or with a rolling pin for a thin and crispy base.
Add your tomato base and all your toppings.
Cook for 8-15 minutes depending on the oven.
Makes roughly 1.6kg of dough | 5-7 pizzas depending on pizza size.
